I got an email yesterday from my good friend in South Africa, Dean Leslie, telling me that I was on a TV program in South Africa. Carte Blanche, a show similar to Dateline or 60 Minutes, did a fantastic piece about Ryan Sandes and the phenomenon that he's become in the ultra-marathon world. Unfortunately for everyone involved, they slipped my ugly mug in there for 11 seconds talking about the one time that I was out in front of ol' Ryno during a race in Namibia. (Keep in mind that it was the first few seconds of Stage 1 in that race of course and that I don't think I ever saw him again for 6 days).
